Species Gallery Home

The purpose of Species Gallery is to provide access to descriptions (and illustrations) of Acacia and infraspecific taxa worldwide.

Acacia is currently treated as a single genus but its fragmentation into multiple genera is likely to occur over the next few years. Generic and infrageneric nomenclatural repercussions associated with this change are discussed elsewhere on Worldwidewattle. Because species and infraspecific names will become available under the new genera in dribs and drabs, Worldwidewattle provides alternative views of the classification so users may track changes as they occur.

After selecting a classification view and the geographic region(s) you wish to interrogate , click the Submit button to enter the Browse Species Gallery page. WorldWideWattle will “remember” your choices (Settings) so the next time you enter Species Gallery you will be taken directly to the Browse Species Gallery page. From Browse Species Gallery you can modify your choices (Settings) at any time by clicking on “Change current settings” or "Home" to return to this Species Gallery Home page.
